Born in Chicago, Illinois, Sharon Pitts holds a B.A. in Plastic and Graphic Arts from The University of Illinois - Chicago and has studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, the Barnes Foundation and Montclair State University. She is an avid reader and traveler and has lived in the metropolitan New York area since 1980. She concentrates on painting in watercolor.
